It's pretty standart actually you can cut video using shortcut X on the keyboard... it's pretty different with another application video editing.. so get used to it..
and select you can use shorcut with "S" On the keyboard.
it's important i will repeat again
X for cut
S for select
Cttrl + for zoom in timeline
ctril - for zoom out timeline
